dc.description.abstract	Předkládaná diplomová práce pojednává o problematice aktivního stárnutí, placené práce a dobrovolnictví seniorů. Cílem práce bylo zmapovat a analyzovat motivy současné generace seniorů pro výkon placené práce či dobrovolnické činnosti, v návaznosti na aktivní stárnutí. Teoretická část diplomové práce je členěna do tří kapitol, objasňujících stáří a stárnutí, motivaci osob seniorského věku a důležitost podpory aktivního stárnutí. Praktickou část diplomové práce tvoří kvalitativní výzkum, kdy jsme pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů odkryli, jaké motivy vedou seniory k praktikování výkonu placené práce a dobrovolnictví a jak uvedené činnosti ovlivňují samotné seniory a kvalitu jejich života.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The submitted thesis is concerned with the problem of active aging, paid work and volunteerism among seniors. The goal of the thesis is to chart and analyze the motives of the current generation of seniors to perform paid work and volunteer activities and how it relates to active aging. The theoretical part of the thesis is divided into three chapters: clarification of the terms old age and aging, motivation of individuals in old age, and the importance of supporting active aging. The practical part of the thesis is comprised of qualitative research which was carried out in the form of semi-structured interviews. These interviews uncovered the motives that lead seniors to carry out the performance of paid work and volunteerism and how those activities affect the seniors themselves and the quality of their lives.
