dc.description.abstract	Tato práce se zabývá otázkou trestu smrti, a to jak z pohledu historie, tak i z pohledu současnosti. Praktická část této práce je sestavena ze čtyř kapitol, ve kterých je nastíněn pohled na trestání a účel trestu, nahlédnutí do historie trestu smrti na území naší země, stejně tak i nahlédnutí do historie tohoto trestu na území USA. Poslední kapitola teoretické části se zabývá zásadní otázkou, tedy zda trest smrti ano či ne a rozebírá jednotlivé důvody podporující či naopak odmítající tento trest. Praktická část této práce je tvořena předložením výsledků provedeného kvantitativního výzkumu mezi vybraným vzorkem příslušníků Policie ČR, který byl zaměřen na zjištění názorové situace v otázce absolutního trestu. V závěru praktické části jsou předloženy názory osobností společenského života na tento trest.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This Bachelor thesis is dealing with the capital punishment - from the historical si-gth as well as the present one. The practical part consists from four chapters where the view of the punishment and the goal of it is drawn out, a look into the history of the death penalty in the Czech domain as well as the history of this in the U.S. The last chapter of the theoretical part is focused on the fundamental question - extreme penalty yes or not and is dwelled on the particular rea-sons either supporting or refusing this. The practical part of this thesis is focused on the results of designed quantitative research carried out in the selected sample of Czech Police members. Its aim is to finding out the opinions and attitudes to these extreme penalty questions. At the close there are the opinions of the well-known personalities mentioned.	en
