Bata System of Management

Abstract

This study looks at the basis of Bata management system, seeks its roots, and defines its fundamental elements. The Bata system of management was based upon a complex economic and organisational mechanism. Principally, the structure of the company was decentralised, with only some mutual functions combined for operational reasons being centralised. Not only was the system an administrative method for accounting in-house, but an evolving and complex financial and organisational mechanism that formed an organic unit. The Bata company was founded on innovation, and that is why it managed to successfully conduct business in different socio-econnomic conditions.
