Flotace je známa již velmi dlouhou dobu. Původně byla aplikována v oboru úpravy rud a uhlí. První zmínky o využití flotace ve vodním hospodářství je z roku 1860 z Velké Británie. Pak následovala celá řada patentů a vynálezů na využití flotace jako potenciální postup úpravy odpadní vody. Průmyslový rozvoj a zvýšené kulturní požadavky kladou zvýšené nároky na spotřebu vody, tudíž i její znehodnocování a vyčerpání jejich zdrojů. Zejména v posledních desetiletích dochází k růstu nároků i nákladů na zajištění množství i jakosti pro uspokojení potřeb obyvatel a průmyslu. Pro vyčerpanost zdrojů podzemních vod se orientace získávání pitné vody obrací k povrchovým zdrojům. Jejich kvantitativní i druhové znečištění roste. Tím samozřejmě rostou i nároky na úpravu. Jak technologické tak i finanční. Proto se v posledních letech obrací pozornost na úpravu pomocí flotace, která je pro technologii úpravy i čištění vody stále častěji používaným způsobem separace koloidních a suspendovaných látek. Práce se snaží o dosavadní souhrn znalostí o flotaci jako možného využití při úpravě i čištění vody. |

Flotation has been known for a very long time. Originally it was applied in the field of regulation of ores and coal. The first reference of the use of flotation in the water utilization is from the year 1860 from Great Britain. A whole range of patents and inventions using flotation as a potential adjustment process of the waste water followed. Industrial development and increased cultural requirements put increased demands on water consumption, hence the degradation and depletion of water resources. Especially in the recent decades the growth of entitlements and the costs connected with the effort to provide the quantity and quality of water that would meet the needs of the population and industry are growing. Due to the exhaustion of the groundwater resources, drinking water obtaining turns to the surface sources. Their quantitative and generic pollution is growing. And of course the demands for treatment are growing as well. Both the technological demands and the financial ones. Therefore, in recent years, attention turns to water adjustment by flotation, which is, because of the technology of water treatment and water purification, more and more frequently used way of separation of colloidal and suspended substances. This work's aim is to summarise the information and knowledge about flotation and its prospective use in the process of treatment and purification of water. |
