dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá tématy vymývání mozků a svobodné vůle v románu Anthonyho Burgesse Mechanický pomeranč (1962). Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat a porovnat vymývání mozků, svobodnou vůli a dystopickou literaturu dvacátého století se samotným románem a jeho následná interpretace. První část této práce se skládá z analýzy života Anthonyho Burgesse od jeho narození až po vydání románu Mechanický pomeranč, dále z analýzy dystopické literatury dvacátého století, historie metod vymývání mozků a interpretace svobodné vůle. Druhá část je již analýzou románu a jeho vztahu k tématům z předchozí části. Cílem zde bude zejména analýza textu a jeho postav, děje, jazyka a témat, kterými se tento román zabývá.

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis examines the themes of brainwashing and free will in Anthony Burgess's novel A Clockwork Orange (1962). The main goal of this thesis is to analyze and compare brainwashing, free will and dystopian literature of the 20th century with the novel and its subsequent interpretation. The first part of this thesis consists of an analysis of Anthony Burgess's life from his birth to the publication of the novel A Clockwork Orange, as well as an analysis of 20th century dystopian literature, a history of brainwashing methods, and an interpretation of free will. The second part is an analysis of the novel itself and its relation to the subjects of the previous part. The aim here is to analyze the text and its characters, plot, language and themes that the novel deals with.
