dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem využití biografie klienta při poskytování služby v Domově se zvláštním režimem. Je členěna do dvou částí, teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části práce vymezuji pojem demence, její příznaky, diagnostiku, druhy, stádia a potřeby i kvalitu života seniorů s demencí. Následně se věnuji péči o klienty s demencí, konkrétně zásadám poskytování péče, komunikaci a službě Domov se zvláštním režimem. Dále pojednávám o nefarmakologických přístupech ke klientům s demencí využívajících biografii, je zde popsána Validace podle N. Feil, Bazální stimulace, Reminiscenční terapie a péče podložená biografií klienta. Empirická část obsahuje výzkum, v němž jsem si dala za cíl zmapovat proces využívání biografie klienta s důrazem na aspekty, jež ho ovlivňují a význam, který mu přisuzují pracovníci. Zvolila jsem kvalitativní pojetí výzkumu, polostrukturovaný rozhovor a výzkumný soubor čítající 6 participantek.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The thesis deals with the topic of the use of the client's biography in the provision of services in the Special regime home. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part of the thesis I define the concept of dementia, its symptoms, diagnosis, types, stages and needs as well as the quality of life of seniors with dementia. Subsequently, I discuss the care of clients with dementia, specifically the principles of care provision, communication and the service of the Special regime home. I also discuss non-pharmacological approaches to clients with dementia using biography, Validation by N. Feil, Basal Stimulation, Reminiscence Therapy and client biography based care are described. The empirical section includes research in which I set out to map the process of using client biography, with an emphasis on the aspects that influence it and the importance given to it by staff. I have chosen a qualitative research design, a semi-structured interview and a research sample of 6 participants.
