dc.description.abstract	Romantasy je relativně nový pojem, ke kterému zatím nebyla vytvořena akademicky podložená definice. Tato bakalářská práce si proto klade za cíl charakterizovat základní znaky tohoto žánru prostřednictvím analýzy tří děl, která jsou do něj řazeny. Na základě jejich společných rysů vyvozuje, že žánr se vyznačuje specifickou dějovou strukturou, jež je zasazena do sekundárního světa. Protagonistkami jsou výhradně ženy, které se vyznačují vnitřní silou, nikoliv fyzickou. Jejich romantické protějšky jsou mužské mravně nejednoznačné postavy. Romantasy rovněž inklinuje k temnějším tématům a pracuje s určitými tropy. V rámci romantasy hrají fantasy i romance rovnocennou roli. Oba žánry jsou vzájemně propojené do té míry, že jejich oddělení by narušilo celistvost příběhu. Romantasy je tedy vznikající hybridní žánr, který se svým duálním zaměřením vymyká tradičnímu vymezení romantické a fantasy literatury.

dc.description.abstract-translated	Romantasy is a relatively new term for which no academic definition has yet been developed. Therefore, this thesis aims to characterize the features of romantasy through an analysis of three novels in the genre. Based on their common features, it concludes that romantasy is characterized by a specific narrative structure set in a secondary world. The protagonists are exclusively women who are characterized by inner strength rather than physical one, while their romantic counterparts are male, morally ambiguous characters. Romantasy inclines towards darker themes and uses certain tropes. In romantasy, fantasy and romance are both vital. They are intertwined to the extent that separating them would disrupt the integrity of the story. Thus, romantasy is an emerging hybrid genre that, with its dual focus, defies the traditional delineation of romance and fantasy literature.
