Práce se zabyvá šířkou filmového formátu a použitím různych skladebních prvků obrazu v závislosti na něm (kompozice, pohyb, práce s herci, lokací, mizanscénou, etc.). Ilustruje rozdíly různych formátů na dvou filmovych adaptacích finské válečné novely Neznámy voják. Definuje, jaké jsou vyhody úzkého a širokého formátu, a s jakymi vyzvami se naopak kameraman musí při práci s nimi vypořádat. |

This thesis addresses the width of a film frame and the dependence of the various visual elements, which are used to form a shot (composition, movement, blocking, locations, miseen- scene, etc.), on said frame. It illustrates the differences between various frames thanks to two adaptations of a Finnish war novel Unknown soldier. It defines the advantages of both the wide and narrow frames, as well as drawbacks, that a director of photography has to overcome when working with them. |
