dc.description.abstract	Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit, jak malé podniky reagovaly na pandemii COVID-19, jaký byl jejich pohotovostní přístup k této neočekávané události. Práce se skládá ze dvou částí - teoretické a praktické. Teoretická část popisuje pandemii COVID-19 a související omezení jako novou businessovou katastrofu, která udeřila Spojené království a zbytek světa, je popsán přístup a pomoc vlády pro zasažené podniky. Dále se teoretická část zabývá možnou přípravou podniků na neočekávané katastrofy při jejich podnikání, hlavně tvorba plánu kontinuity a finančních rezerv. Byly stanoveny tři hypotézy, který byly vyhodnoceny na základě analýzy nasbíraných dat. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo čtyřicet šest podniků, z toho byly dvě třetiny mikropodniky a třetina malých podniků. Výsledky ukázaly, že část podniků není připravena na na očekávané katastrofy a měla by si uvědomit význam plánu kontinuity a finančních rezerv.

dc.description.abstract-translated	The main goal of this thesis was to reveal how small businesses responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, what was their contingency approach in this unprecedented situation. The paper consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions as a new business disaster that struck the UK and The rest of the world. The government attitude towards companies that needed help is described. Another point described for the research is companies possible preparation for unexpected disasters . mainly the creation of a business continuity plan and the creation of financial reserves. Three hypotheses were established, which were accepted or rejected based on the analysis of second data sorting. Forty-six companies participated in the research, two-thirds of micro-companies and one-third of small companies. The findings show that not all companies are prepared for unexpected disasters, and they need to realise the necessity of a business continuity plan and financial reserves.
