Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá skúmaním vlastností filmových strihačov, z ktorých sa stali režiséri. V prvej časti sa práca zaoberá vznikom filmovej profesie strihača a jej charakterovými atribútmi. Postupne tieto strihové postupy v analytickej časti rozanalyzuje u tvorcu Hal Ashbyho, čím zadefinuje jeho strihový rukopis, ktorý v závere analytickej časti využije pri porovnávaní s jeho režijnými postupmi a prístupom k strihu. Tvrdenie, ktoré z tejto analýzy vzíde, porovnáva v interview s tvorcami, ktorí sa tak isto stali režisérmi zo strihačov. |

This bachelor thesis attempts to uncover skills of editors turned into movie directors. It analyzes their editing procedures that have impact on their directing work as well. The first part of the thesis discusses origins of the movie editor profession and its character attributes. Gradually these procedures are analysed in the work of Hal Ashby, whose editing workflow is defined and analyzed step by step in the analytical part. Hal Ashby's editing style is then compared to his directing style. The statement that arises from this analysis is then compared to interviews with creative people who also became directors but started as editors. |
