dc.description.abstract	Diplomová práce s názvem Fashion Follows Function se zaměřuje na módu skrze funkční design namísto sezónních trendů. Definuje neoutdoorový oděv, který přináší jak dostatek kapes, tak i funkční přírodní materiál. Nabídne nám přednosti praktického oblečení, ale ponechá nám módní design. Inspirace kolekce čerpá ze sportovního a vojenského oblečení, které nám přineslo mnoho zajímavých a funkčních materiálů i oděvních prvků. Teoretická část se zaobírá progresivními oděvními materiály 20. století. Poukazuje na jejich atributy, na to, jak jsou dnes využívány i na jejich potenciál. Průzkum funkčních, sportov-ních i vojensky inspirovaných značek na trhu mi pomůže definovat, co je pro oděv skutečně důležité a co můžeme na městském oděvu postrádat. Praktická část bude zaměřena především na výstavbu oděvu a logické rozmístění kapes. Bude řešit možnosti Ventile bavlny a střihové přizpůsobení se materiálu.

dc.description.abstract-translated	Master thesis called Fashion Follows Function are focused on fashion through a functional point of view instead of seasonal trends. Defines non-outdoor garment, which brings enough of pockets as well as a natural functional material. It offers the advantages of out-door clothing yet it keeps the style of high fashion. The inspiration of this collection comes from the sports wear and the military clothes, which both has brought a series of interesting materials and iconic garments. The theoretical part of the thesis concerns the progressive fashion materials of 20th century. It will show their attributes, what are the materials nowadays used for and what is their potential. Research of the functional, sports and military inspired labels on the market will help me to define what is really important for the garment and what can we miss out at the urban clothes. The practical part will be focused mainly on the construction of the garment and the logical placing of the pockets. Part of thesis will be also paying attention to textile adaptation and the pattern dispositions. Whilst exploring the possibilities of Ventile cotton.
