Městská policie přispívá mimo jiné k pořádku ve městě, k ochraně osob a majetku, dohlíží na dodržování veřejného pořádku, na provoz na pozemních komunikacích, podílí se na prevenci kriminality ve městě, dohlíží na dodržování platných právních předpisů a plní mnoho dalších úkolů. Na strážníky Městské policie Brno jsou kladeny vysoké požadavky, jak na fyzickou, tak i na psychickou odolnost. Výzkum probíhal formou rozhovorů v centru Brna namátkovým výběrem respondentů, kterým byly položeny stejné otázky. Bylo zjištěno, že na většinu dotázaných působí Městská policie represivně. I přesto je u většiny oslovených respondentů vnímána jako užitečná a prospěšná. Dotázaní však ve většině případů nerozeznají policistu od strážníka. Pro občana není důležité, zda jedná se strážníkem nebo policistou, ale očekává od nich pomoc v jakékoliv situaci. |

City Police contributes among other things to control order in the city, to protect people and property, controls keeping the rules of public order, controls the trafic rules on roads, participaces in prevention of criminality in the city, oversees compliance with applicable laws and perform many other tasks. There are high demands required on police officers of City Police Brno as to physical, and at psychical endurance. The research was realized through interviews in the city center by a random selection of respondents who were asked the same questions. It was found that City Police has a repressive effect on most of respondents. Despite this, in the majority of addressed respondents is the City Police perceived as useful and helpful. Respondents, however, in most cases do not recognize the City Police officer from a State Police officer. For the citizen is not important whether he speaks to City Police officer or a State Police officer, but he expects them help in any situation. |
