The Conception of the Residential House in Zlín in 1940s

Abstract

Práce se zabývá popisem a analýzou jednotlivých typů obytných domů ve Zlíně, ve 40. letech 20. století. Úvodní část přibližuje problematiku výstavby 40. let. Druhá část je věnována politické, hospodářské a stavební historii Zlína od roku 1939 do roku 1950. Zahrnuje i přehled realizovaných a nerealizovaných staveb tohoto období. Následující část se věnuje myšlení, teoriím a koncepcím, ze kterých výstavba ve 40.letech vychází. Další část se zaměřuje na typy nájemních domů a jejich architekty. Poslední kapitola je věnována historií, úpravám a realizacím rodinných domků a vil. Těžištěm práce je zachycení koncepce obytných domů v kontextu historického dění (v návaznosti na pojetí individualismu a kolektivismu a vlivem komunistického ovládnutí moci), a jednak v uměleckohistorických souvislostech. Závěr práce je shrnutím celého problému výstavby obytných domů s důrazem na celkovou charakteristiku výstavby ve 40.letech ve Zlíně

This thesis focuses on description and broader analysis of the individual types of houses in Zlin in the fourties of the twentieth century. The introduction introduces the context of the construction and building development in the fourties. The second part is deals with the political, economical and building history of Zlin from 1939 to 1950. This part also lists the implemented and not realized buildings from that time. The following part concentrates on ideas, theories and concepts in the background of the construction in the fourties. Another part is devoted to individual types of the tenement houses and their architects. The last part describes the history, adaptations, modifications and implementations of the family houses and villas. The centre of focus of this paper is the concept of the residential houses in the context of the historical events (sequencing the individualism and collectivism and under influence of the the power assumed by the Communists), and the art-historical context. The conclusion of this work summarizes the entireness of the residential houses construction with the emphasis on overall characteristic of the construction in Zlin of the fourties.
