Family living in inter- war Zlin and its later development

Abstract

Ústředním tématem této bakalářské práce je rodinné bydlení ve Zlíně ve dvacátých a třicátých letech dvacátého století a jeho srovnání s následným poválečným vývojem. Jedná se nám především o výstavbu rodinných domků firmou Baťa, která vytvořila novodobý specifický ráz města. Na druhou stranu v tomto údobí také vznikají rodinné vily funkcionářů Baťových závodů, které jsou koncipovány na základě zcela jiných parametrů a vůbec se nedrží jednotné „baťovské architektury“. Navíc ve třicátých letech je realizována také výstavba mimo firmu Baťa, a to soukromou projekční kanceláří Miroslava Lorence, které věnujeme samostatnou kapitolu. Typizovanou baťovskou výstavbu následně konfrontujeme s českými funkcionalistickými tezemi, které jsou pro dané období dvacátých a třicátých let v architektuře určujícími. V závěru práce nastiňujeme směřování zlínské architektury po roce 1945

The main theme of this thesis is family living in Zlin in the twenties and thirties of the 20th century and its comparison with following post-war development. It is concerned specifically with the construction of family houses built by Bata company, that created modern specific character of the town. On the other hand, family functional villas of functionaries in Bata company are being created in this period. These villas are designed on the basis of totally different principles and they do not fulfill the main parameters of cohesive „Bata architecture“. Further, in the thirties there is realized the construction beside Bata company and it was done by private architectonic office of Miroslav Lorenc. We concentrate on this topic in a special chapter. The standardized Bata construction is confronted with Czech functionalistic propositions, that are main in the twenties and thirties of the 20th century. As the ending of the thesis there is outlined the pointing of the architecture in Zlin after 1945.
