dc.description.abstract	Tomas Bata had a marked influence on Frantisek L. Gahura, an architect in Zlin between the two world wars, also affecting his views due to the adoption of a purely pragmatic approach. In his memoirs, Gahura mentions that when working with Tomas Bata they were not always in agreement but that it was a creative period. Naturally, Gahura gives readers an insight into Tomas Bata's charakter, behaviour, and attitudes.	en
