dc.description.abstract	Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu kvality života seniorské populace. Jaké jsou pohledy na stáří a stárnutí a jaké vědy se zabývají tímto obdobím lidského života. Popisuje vznik a vývoj geriatrie a gerontologie. Jak můžeme vymezit pojem kvalita života, jak se měří a jaké jsou modely a metody měření. Seznamuje nás s demografickými fakty a situací v České republice. Popisuje, jak předcházet sociálnímu vyloučení a jak se na seniorská léta připravovat. Jaké jsou možnosti vzdělávání seniorů, volnočasové a pracovní aktivity a jak důležitou roli v tomto věku hraje rodina a přátelé. V praktické části je zpracován výzkum spokojenosti seniorů v různých oblastech jejich života pomocí dotazníku kvality života SQUALA.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the quality of life of senior population. It focuses on views on the old age and ageing process as well as the sciences which specialize in this period in a person's life. First, the thesis looks into the origin and development of geriatrics and gerontology. It describes how to define the quality of life, how to measure and evaluate the quality of one's life and what models and methods to apply. Furthermore, it informs about the demographic facts and situation in the Czech Republic and it also suggests how to prevent social exclusion and how to make provision for growing old. Finally, it inquires into senior education, job opportunities and leisure time activities and tries to resolve the importance of one's family life and friends at the old age. The practical part of the thesis introduces the results obtained during a research which was carried out in a form of a questionnaire called SQUALA exploring a person's quality of life. The research relates to senior satisfaction in various areas of life.	en
