In the diploma work Questions of the current Czech penology I deal with the types of sentences, the problems of alternative sentences and other measures, replacing unconditional imprisonment. I discuss here also the work of the institutions dealing with issues of organization and control over the implementation of alternative sentences. My goal was partly to help to understand the problems of the current practice of alternative sentencing and consequent problems in their failure, which then the current Czech prisons fully cope with. Further I point out the current practice of granting and use of alternative sentences, their effective use and allocation. What is the aim and purpose of criminal conflict of alternative solutions, ie not only the settlement of legal relations,but also interpersonal relationships. Through voluntary anonymous survey of prisoners in the prison in VTOS Breclav I got views and experiences in which they confront prison sentence with alternative sentences. |
