Práce přináší ucelený popis rozvoje města Zlín v období starostování Tomáše Bati zaklada-tele. Teoretická část popisuje pozici a kompetence starosty jak v historickém kontextu, tak i dnešním pojetí veřejné správy. Součástí teoretické části je popis výzkumných metod, které byly aplikovány při historickém výzkumu, který představuje praktická část práce. Praktická část práce popisuje rozvoj města Zlín v období starostování Tomáše Bati zakladatele, průběh a výsledky obecních voleb v letech 1923 ? 1932. Práce popisuje rozvoj veřejné správy, infrastruktury, komunikace, kulturního, zdravotního a školského zázemí ve Zlíně. Úvod praktické části práce je zaměřen na historický kontext utvářeni města Zlín. Práce je obohacena o výpovědi pamětníků doby a netradiční životopis Tomáše Bati zakladatele. Součástí praktické části práce jsou také návrhy na možné využití odkazu Tomáše Bati za-kladatele v současnosti. |

The thesis gives a comprehensive description of the development in the town of Zlín during the times of Tomas Bata as a mayor of the town. The theoretical part describes the position and power of mayor in a historical context and the present concept of the public ad-ministration. This part also contains a description of research methods that were applied in historical research, which is included in the practical part. The practical part describes the development of Zlín during the times of Tomas Bata, the founder as a mayor, progression and results of municipal elections from 1923 to 1932. The thesis describes the development of the public administration, infrastructure, communications, as well as cultural, health and educational facilities in Zlín. Introduction of the practical part is focused on the historical coherence of forming the city of Zlín. The work is enriched by the testimony of witnesses of the Tomas Bata times and non-traditional Tomas Bata, the founder?s CV. Within the practical part of this thesis, there are also proposals for the possible use of the heritage of Tomas Bata, the founder in the present. |
