Diplomová práce se zabývá fenoménem otcovství a jeho pojetím v médiích - časopisech. Zamýšlí se nad rolí a přínosem otců ve výchově dětí v kontextu současných dvou protichůdných tendencí - vzrůstající participací otců v rodinách v protikladu k jejich mizení z rodin. Popisuje genderové stereotypy, které se objevují nejenom v rodinách, ale také v médiích. Praktická část je zaměřena na obsahovou analýzu časopisů, konkrétně časopisů pro muže, časopisů pro rodiče a společenských týdeníků s cílem zjistit, jaká témata související s otcovstvím se v časopisech objevují a jakým způsobem jsou zde muži v otcovské roli zobrazováni. Výsledky obsahové analýzy jsou následně zpracovány metodou zakotvené teorie. |

This study discusses fatherhood from a media perspective, specifically through magazines. It reflects on the role and the contributions of fathers in their children's upbringing in the context of two contradictory tendencies: on one hand, fathers are disappearing from fami-lies and on the other, fathers are becoming more involved in family life. Both gender stere-otypes which are reproduced the media and those which continue to resonate with families are outlined in the study. Using content analysis of men's, parenting and lifestyle magazi-nes, the purpose of the study is to discover the images of fathers and the contexts in which they are presented. Finally, the results of the analysis are interpreted with methods of grounded theory. |
