dc.description.abstract	Tato práce představuje pohled do historie hracích karet a jejich grafické podoby. Soustřeďuje základní informace o původu karet jak ve světě, tak i v Evropě, o jejich proměnách a vývoji až do současnosti. Speciální část je dále věnována historii karet v České republice. Celá práce je doplněná obrazovými ukázkami karet z různých období, které pomáhají čtenáři přiblížit se dané problematice. Cílem práce je odhalit neznámý příběh karet a vybídnout k zamyšlení nad místem, které karty zastávají v dnešní moderní společnosti.	cs

dc.description.abstract-translated	This thesis comprises an insight into the history of playing cards and their graphic appearance. It concerns basic information about the origin of cards in the world, as well as in Europe, about its changes and evolution till nowadays. A special part is dedicated to the history of cards in the Czech Republik. The whole thesis is completed with images of cards from relevant periods which help the reader to embrace better the issue. Its objective is to uncover the unknown story of the playing cards and encourage to thing about the position that playing cards occupy in modern society.	en
