Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá knihou Stmívání od Stephenie Mezerově, jež je v současné době velmi populární, zvláště mezi teenagery. Cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat jazyk, kterým autorka knihu napsala a zjistit, proč je kniha mladými lidmi tolik obdivována. Teoretická část obecně charakterizuje současnou angličtinu z hlediska lexikálního, stylistického a syntaktického a rozděluje je do různých skupin. Další část vysvětluje, co je sociolingvistika a popisuje různé jazykové styly spojeny s touto vědní disciplínou. Závěr teoretické části představuje typické rysy jazyka teenagerů. Cílem praktické části je krátké představení knihy Stmívání a analýza jazyka, kterým je kniha napsána, jmenovitě lexikálních, stylistických a syntaktických rysů jazyka, jež jsou popsány v teoretické části. |

The present bachelor thesis deals with the book Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer which is very popular nowadays, especially among teenagers. Its aim is to analyze the language that the author uses in her writing and find out what makes the book so popular among young people. The theoretical part characterizes contemporary English from lexical, stylistic and syntactic aspect in general and divides them into different categories. The next part describes the term sociolinguistics and introduces language varieties which are associated with this linguistic discipline. The conclusion of the theoretical part contains the characterization of typical features of teenage language. The practical part aims at the short introduction of the book Twilight and at the analysis of the language in which the book is written, especially at lexical, stylistic and syntactic features of the language which are described in the theoretical part. |
