Cestovní ruch je často označován jako jedno z rozvíjejících se odvětví, které umožňuje zajistit rozvoj méně vyspělých regionů a takto přispět ke snižování regionálních rozdílů. Ne každý region má přitom stejné předpoklady pro cestovní ruch a tím se rovněž liší hodnoty ukazatelů rozvoje cestovního ruchu, které jednotlivé regiony dosahují. Tato práce se zabývá právě existencí regionálních rozdílů v oblasti cestovního ruchu, přičemž se zaměřuje jednak na předpoklady cestovního ruchu a jednak na rozvojové ukazatele cestovního ruchu a to na úrovni okresů České republiky. Výsledky jsou přitom dány do souvislostí s ekonomickou výkonnosti okresů. Hledány jsou tak odpovědi na otázky, zda cestovní ruch přispívá spíše ke snižování či zvyšování regionální diferenciace jako takové. Závěry práce naznačují, že existují oba dva trendy vedle sebe, nicméně vyšší význam má snižování regionálních rozdílů prostřednictvím rozvoje cestovního ruchu. |

Tourism is often labelled as a sector with a huge development potential, which simultaneously may ensure a development of lagged regions. In this way, also regional disparities may be reduced. Not all regions have the same conditions for tourism, resulting into different values of development indicators which may be regarded as proxies of tourism development. This thesis deals just with the existence of regional disparities in tourism, with a focus on the differences in regional conditions for tourism and development indicators related. The regional level of Czech counties was chosen for the evaluations. The findings are linked to economic performance of the counties as well. Based on the findings, the thesis tries to answer the questions whether tourism contributes to reduction of regional disparities or the opposite is true. Conclusions indicate that the both trends may be observed, however, reduction of regional disparities through tourism development is more likely. |
