dc.description.abstract	Se vstupem České republiky do Evropské unie mají krajské samosprávy možnost čerpat finanční prostředky ze strukturálních fondů na rozvoj svého území a řešení svých specifických problémů. Cílem této diplomové práce v první části je popsat strukturální politiku Evropské unie, její historii, současný stav, cíle a implementaci v České republice. V druhé části provedu analýzu potřeb malých a středních podniků ve Zlínském kraji spolu s analýzou, jak může Zlínský kraj pomoci malým a středním podnikům za přispění strukturálních fondů. V třetí části navrhnu konkrétní řešení rozvoje drobných podnikatelů a problémových regionů ve Zlínském kraji.

dc.description.abstract-translated	Since the Czech Republic has officially become one of the members of the Europe Union, which was understood as a quite significant occurrence, the region autonomies have got the opportunity and possibility to ask and require the financial appropriation from structural funds in order to initiate the act of developing the way of living in certain regions in terms of improving and expanding those regions and finding the solutions to specific problems and issues. The objective of the first part of this master thesis is supposed to give a description of Europe Union (EU) in general. Namely, when EU was originated, the past of EU at current time, its purposes and implementation in Czech Republic. The second part on the other hand is devoted to the providing the analyses of needs of small and big businesses in Zlin region along with the analysis, how the Zlin region possiblly may, thanks to financial contributions from structural funds, support small and big businesses. In the third part of this thesis I have proposed the concrete solutions how to help develop and expand the activities of small businesses in Zlin region as well as improve situation in problematic areas of Zlin region.
