dc.description.abstract The contribution deals with the development of health provision in Zlin from the beginning to the time Bata, a.s. Zlin was nationalised. The autor refers to the life of Mr. Albert - a doctor - and his opinions on modern medical care, which he introduced in Zlin with Tomas Bata's support. He describes the responsibilities of the doctors and points out that the Bata system of health care revolved around its patients. In addition, he mentions the Bata Support Fund and its important role in financing the hospital. en
