Cílem této diplomové práce je seznámit se s aktuálními problémy ve Vězeňské službě České republiky a poskytnout návrhy na jejich možné řešení s důrazem na financování instituce. Teoretická část čtenáře seznámí s historií trestu a vězeňství ve světě i v českých a slovenských zemích. Dále nabídne pohled na právní úpravu problematiky a nastíní organizační strukturu Vězeňské služby České republiky. V praktické části vás autorka nejprve seznámí s aktuálním obrazem organizace, jejími představiteli a nadřízeným orgánem. Poté zmapuje fyzický počet věznic a vězeňského obyvatelstva, finanční stránku vězeňství v České republice a personální zabezpečení této instituce. Následně se zaměří na slovesnký Zbor väzenskej a justičnej stráže a porovná jej s českou Vězeňskou službou. V poslední části práve popíše návrhy na zlepšení či odstranění problémů, které trápí Vězeňskou službu České republiky. |

The aim of this thesis is to become familiar with current issues in the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and to provide suggestions for possible solutions with an emphasis on finances. The theoretical part will acquaint readers with the history of punishment and prisons all around the world and in the Czech and Slovak lands. The the author will offer the revers the perspective on legislation outlining and organizational structure of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. In the practical part, the author will first introduce the current image of the organization, its leaders and the governing body. After that she will mapp the physical number of prison and prison population, the financial aspects and the staff of the Prison Service of Czech Republic. Next the focus will move to Slovak prison service and the author will compare it with the Czech prison institution. The last part of the thesis describes author's suggestions for improvement of issues of Prison Service of Czech Republic. |
